Purpose
SMURF is a ministry to provide supportive friendships and helps for single mothers of our community. Many circumstances bring a single mother to experience basic needs beyond the capabilities of her life to solve. Jesus spoke pointedly to the practicalities of our daily Christian life when He taught of our calling to be servants. We are to care for those whose physical and emotional resources are absent. Single mothers and their children wake up to these realities daily and many have inadequate or no family support structures.
